In late
February, I was diagnosed with having a brain tumor that needed to be
removed quickly. The tumor was life threatening and my eyesight had
deteriorated. An operation was arranged for the 12th of March
because it would be life threatening if we waited for a Public Hospital
bed.

As a pre
requisite for applying for residency, I had my health insurance
converted from student health cover to international visitor cover. I
had my medical check up for immigration purpose. The test discovered
that I am diabetic and was advised medication which I started promptly.

In August, 2001,
I was diagnosed with a large, malignant and aggressive tumor in my left
breast. This was removed surgically and no trace of cancer was found in
subsequent tests. To say I was surprised when, in February 2003, a
small lump no bigger than a pea was diagnosed as malignant, is putting
it mildly; and when a scan showed spots on my lungs it was hardly
reassuring. Full Story ... |

I gave my life to
Jesus at the age of twelve, at a camp in Katoomba. I told Jesus that I
wanted to work for Him. Within two weeks of returning home from camp, my
mother became ill and was sent to a private hospital in Sydney.

What a blessing it was last month to be able to go the “Inner Healing
and Wholeness” weekend at the Healing Ministry Centre at Newtown. It
was like coming home to the Father’s House – coming home to my Anglican
roots to heal.

I was brought up a Christian, in the country, in a
Catholic church.
Life, until about 4 years ago, had been easy for me. I came to Sydney
after school, studied law, married my beautiful wife and had two great
children. Full Story ... |

My journey with the Lord began
approximately 20 years ago. I was in St. Vincent Hospital with liver
failure due to alcohol abuse. I had just lost my job as a senior
manager and my wife and two children had left me.

My family and I were called to walk through a deep dark
valley in the second half of 2004. Towards the end of August while I was
dressing for Church, I collapsed and had a seizure. While I was still
convulsing, but coming out of the seizure I was aware I was by myself
with two closed doors between my husband and son who were watching the
Olympic Games on the television. Full Story

I have been attending the teaching sessions at The
Healing Ministry Centre (Golden Grove) in Newtown since 1993. I would
have to concur with the friend who said, "It's like sitting at the feet
of Jesus" - I guess that's why people of all denominations attend.

The teaching from Canon Holbeck is about not just hearing
and seeing what the Word of God says but applying it, walking it out. I
need to keep hearing this so that it becomes more and more part of my
life as it’s received into my spirit. |

Narelle |
It never ceases to amaze me, what the Holy Spirit can
reveal, as I sit under “the Word” when Canon Jim Holbeck is teaching.
I give thanks to God for the Healing Ministry Centre, the
fellowship, and to Canon Jim Holbeck for so faithfully teaching us. |

I was diagnosed with Multiple Chemical
Sensitivity. To survive most MCS
people literally withdraw from the world and although shattered and
grieving, endeavour to rebuild and adjust away from pesticides,
fragrances, plastics, petrol fumes etc. Some are alienated from non
supportive family and are outcasts of Society.

Back in 1997 Dave was hit by a car,
and sustained very severe brain damage, he was the worst ten percent
that actually lived. His parents were told soon after that accident that in fact
he would not live and they would have to consider donating his organs.

In 1989 family pressure was mounting, with
four growing children. There was a wedding for my daughter, later her
baby born 10 weeks premature, my son's engagement and subsequent
wedding. I did both wedding dresses, cakes and flowers for the church.
At the end, I found I had breast cancer. The
teaching I had received came flooding back as the Doctor was talking to
me. I immediately handed it all over to the Lord saying, "Lord this is
all too much. I cannot cope with any more".

I first went to the Healing Service in 1976
and sat behind a pillar at the back of the Cathedral. Canon Jim Glennon
was speaking that night and his message was so relevant to my very real
need at the time. I had a load of problems. Divorce, loneliness, away
from my family in the country, a financial need and a place to live.

Little did I know that when I came to the
Healing Service in St. Andrew’s Cathedral for the first time over 12
years ago that God would lay a foundation that night for a journey with
Him that would lead to so much healing of my spirit, soul and body. I
had a Chronic Illness, an auto-immune disease called Lupus. The healing
process has been one of three steps forward and two steps back, but the
more I learnt of God’s love, mercy, forgiveness and grace through the
programs at the Healing Ministry Centre in Newtown and the St. Andrew’s
Cathedral Healing Services, the more I was able to trust Jesus. Not
only did I experience what He is able to do, but a deep intimacy in our
relationship developed and is still growing. For the last two years my
blood test results have been perfect. The touch of Jesus makes all the
difference. |

Many years ago my Minister suggested that I attend an
Inner Healing and Wholeness weekend to learn more about the core
teaching so that I could become involved in pastoral work in the parish.
I had to wear a surgical collar and
sometimes a body brace (as a result of an accident which ruptured discs
in my neck.) Full Story ...
